- You should stay here!Just returned from a 6 night stay and we had an amazing vacation! This resort is perfect for a relaxing (but not boring) stay. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are neat and clean, the pool is lovely and the restaurant is amazing. Seriously, their banana muffins are fantastic. Also, they have a dive shop, Carpe Diem, right on site and they do amazing excursions - go to Mexico Rocks and Caye Caulker with them!! You'll hear people say that it's far from town (it's a 30 min bumpy ride by cart.) but that is part of its charm. You should definitely stay here!
- The staff was amazing!They were continuously checking in on us. The food was by far one of the best we had in Belize, the tomato pasta and the octopus was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our accommodations were spectacular the room was clean and always looked after by the housekeeping staff. When in Belize be careful of sand flies and put baby oil in the evening before going on sand. Portofino was amazing
- Our room is amazing.We chose a tree house instead of a cabana. Wish we could swim in ocean but knew this before we got here. Pool goes to 7ft! Staff is spectacular from picking us up from the ferry, cold towels to wash off all the travel while checking in with a nice free drink from the bar. Personally escorted to the room with all areas of the resort explained to us and walked through our room. This place is top notch but low key. Just what we wanted. The food at the restaurant was so good. There were people who had walked over from another resort to eat!
- We spent the week before Christmas at Portofino Beach Resort and we loved it.We were very impressed by everything. We stayed in one of the beach cabanas, and it was spacious and so comfortable with excellent bedding and great air conditioning in the warm humid weather. Our son loved the swimming pools, and we all enjoyed going snorkeling and kayaking right from the resort. We ate all of our meals at the restaurant and were so impressed - the menus were diverse with lots of great offerings and consistently excellent food. We also very much appreciated all of the staff. Every single person working at Portofino was incredibly warm, kind, friendly, and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!
